Announcing a new collaborative venture
The COACH System becomes the COACH Learning Network!
In 2009, we began seeing evidence that professional development demanded a shift in its model. At the same time technology was beginning to gain ground, funding, and availability to design a learning network for professionals online. This online support system would provide coaching and follow-up face to face learning experiences, increase the opportunity for networking with other professionals in the field with like interest topics, and give a platform for discussions and sharing of materials and ideas. In addition, it would use webinars to further expand the in-class or in-school professional learning. Thus, the COACH System was developed using a robust infrastructure with a long history of success in social learning and connection of users.
After three years of intense use through pilots, development of the infrastructure to meet the need, and user input, we saw another opportunity. This learning and social network could be used for not only professional learning communities, but administrators, consultants, and other resource companies with curriculum, videos, and materials wanted to “partner”. We created channel partners and networks to expand the existing COACH System.
As a result, Learning Compass and Saywire have decided to join forces to create a new collaborative company called The COACH Learning Network. We are pleased to share that we now offer a new and exciting platform with the availability of unlimited communities for learning and networking to be used with students, professionals, businesses, consultants, and organizations. Currently, we have our main COACH Learning Network, our Student COACH Learning Network, and our Business COACH Learning Network.
